In Bonita, an ambulance and fire engine are dispatched to all 911 calls for medical emergencies. This is because every Bonita firefighter is also a licensed paramedic. The fire engine may be able to arrive at the location of an emergency sooner, and firefighter/paramedics can begin treatment even before the ambulance arrives. Our firefighter/paramedics will also remain on scene to assist ambulance personnel with treatment, patient movement, and scene management.
